💜 Year 5 💜
Another amazing week in Year 5!
In Maths, we have been finding equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages. In Literacy, we have immersed ourselves into a variety of explanation texts. Following this, we have designed a creative product, in preparation to write our own explanation of how this works to pitch to the Westwood Dragon's Den panel. In Reading, we have continued to make insightful inferences on the novel, The Garden of Lost Secrets. In Science, we have created interactive models of the solar system to scientifically understand the movement of the planets. In History, we analysed a variety of sources to understand the significance of the Viking Longship. In Art, we responded to a range of space inspired stimulus, applying the techniques we developed last week to produce a printed outcome. In Woodlands, we immersed ourselves in learning different types of knots and applied this to a range of case studies, identifying which knot would be most appropriate to use and when. In PE, we have continued to work on our serve and technique in badminton.
In between all of this... We have found the time to continue to rehearse for our dance performance. Tickets are on sale! We cannot wait for you to see the final outcome. The children have worked incredibly hard! We are so proud!
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend everyone! See you on Tuesday! 💜
