💜 Year 6 💜
In Literacy, we began writing a recount of Act One of Macbeth, working on retelling key events clearly and in the correct order. In Maths, we continued our algebra unit, looking at how to write expressions and substitute values to find answers.
In Geography, we explored the main trade routes involved in the import and export of cacao, using maps to track how it travels around the world. In Science, we planned our own investigations, focusing on identifying different variables and how to control them to make our tests fair.
In PE, we worked on improving our running technique, practising both sprinting and pacing, while in cricket we developed our throwing, catching and basic fielding skills.
Alongside this, we’ve been continuing to rehearse The Wizard of Oz - we can't wait for you to see it!
To end the week, we had Sports Day and the children did us proud, taking part enthusiastically in a wide range of events and showing fantastic support for the Key Stage 1 pupils - well done, Year 6!
